The air from the blower enters the furnace through the air box and air inlet at the lower part of the furnace body. The heat released by the combustion of coke melts the metal charge. Molten iron is stored at the bottom of the furnace or in front of the furnace. When a certain amount of molten iron is accumulated, the mud plug in the taphole is chiseled off, and the molten iron flows out and flows into the ladle through the taphole.

In smelting work, it is necessary to control the composition and temperature of metal concentration, otherwise it will produce batches of waste products.
